Starbucks Press Release

Starbucks is coming to Spalding at Springfields and is the third big international brand announced there over the last few weeks, following on from Fat Face and Ernest Jones Outlet Collection. Starbucks will be replacing Love Coffee who recently closed to make way for the brand.
Ian Sanderson, who runs Springfields commented “We beat off competition from other centres and this will be the first Starbucks in the South Holland region. We have approved the fit out plans for the new store and are very excited with what Starbucks will be bringing to the centre. It will be something different and we hope the customers will love it”
Starbucks started off in 1971 and today they welcome millions of customers through their doors every day, in more than 17000 locations in over 50 countries.
Mr Sanderson continued “We constantly strive to create something different to any other Outlet centre in the UK, and customers who travel many miles to visit us tell us what they would like to see, but it’s not easy to deliver big international brands when there is so much competition from other Outlet centres. We try and attract names that would never normally consider South Holland or South Lincolnshire to keep that point of difference. The feedback to Fat Face coming in October has been tremendous.
These new store will also create more new jobs than its predecessor. The Outlet Centre provides around 500 local jobs, employs many local maintenance contractors and delivers major benefits to the local economy.
Our staff work very hard creating an award winning centre that is a good news story for South Lincolnshire. It’s been a positive couple of weeks.”

Fat Face is coming to Spalding

Springfields Outlet Shopping is delighted to announce that Fat Face will be opening a new store at the centre around the end of September.
Spalding beat off stiff competition from other top UK outlet centres to secure the prestigious retailer.

This news follows on from the recent investment in the Blue Diamond run Home and Garden Centre and the letting to leading fashion retailer Next in February, with more lettings in the pipeline.

The Spalding store will be one of Fat Face’s largest Outlet stores in the country. Knight Frank acted as letting agents and SLR asset manage the centre for the owners.

Ian Sanderson who runs SLR Outlets says “This represents a significant part of the strategy in repositioning Springfields Outlet as a more affluent and top standard outlet centre for the East of England. The centre has enjoyed 11 years of continued growth and this is now set to accelerate.

Our recent additions added to names like Radley, Skechers, Gap and Marks &  Spencer are proving to be very successful with our relatively affluent and extensive catchment”.

Fat Face will be going into the unit currently occupied by The Works. The Works will relocate to the front of the centre, where Dragon Carp used to be. The current Works store will remain open until their fantastic new store is ready mid-way through this month.
